Ann Charpentier
Member of the Romance Writers of America
A
native of Milwaukee, Julia is a freelance writer and editor. She has credits in
desktop, regional and national publications. Since 1984, she’s published over
two hundred articles – profiles of celebrities, small business owners,
international retail chain executives and manufacturers, as well as pieces on
the romance publishing industry for trade magazines and newsletters. In
addition, she's reviewed over one hundred sixty romance novels. Her work has
appeared in TDmonthly Magazine, Affaire de Coeur, Romance
Writers' Report, Movie Marketplace, Remember, Artworks and regional newspapers and
entertainment publications, such as Wisconsin Magazine, Milwaukee Footlights, and Milwaukee Magazine.
Recent
interviews include Oscar Wilde’s grandson Merlin Holland, New York Times
bestselling author Ana Leigh, former Royal Academy of Arts
director David Gordon, and abstract expressionist Costel
Iarca,
a prominent artist.

collection, Valentino, a biography, Romance Writing, a reference
book, as well as three novellas – Starlit
Obsession, a romance, Romeo,
a comedy, and Oscar Wilde's Love Song, a supernatural tale, featuring an
unpublished poetry fragment by Wilde. The
Indigo Dream Catcher, another short story collection, is pending
publication.
She
has edited twenty-two fiction and nonfiction titles for electronic,
print-on-demand and independent book publishers, and been on the editorial
board for Twilight Times Books since 2001.
For
the past two years, she's been completing graduate studies in the humanities
with an emphasis on creative writing and literature through California State
University-Dominguez Hills, where she's a candidate to receive a master's
degree in August 2008.
